How to sort your waste correctly

Organic wastes => green biowaste bin
e.g. kitchen waste like vegetable scraps, fruit peel or leftovers and garden wastes
Tip:
Wrap leftovers up in news paper to protect against unpleasant smells and maggots.
Paper and cardboard => paper bin
e.g. newspapers and magazines, boxes, paper bags, exercise books, books without binding
Tip:
Bulky boxes must first be carefully reduced to small pieces until they fit into the paper container. For bulky boxes or large quantities, use the cardboard bailer at the recycling yards of ASP.
Plastic and metal => yellow Recycling bin
e.g. yoghurt tubs, juice packs, foils / film, Styrofoam, plastic bottles, drink and conserve cans
Tip:
The packaging need not be rinsed, but it must be completely empty.
Unusable residues => residual waste bin
e.g. ash, broken household effects, nappies, dirty packaging, hygiene products
Tip:
Should the garbage bin for once not be large enough, please use a garbage bag from ASP.
Glass => glass container
e.g. wine bottles, spirits bottles, gherkin jars, jam jars
Tip:
Flat glass, mirror glass or fireproof glass (silex) cannot be recycled together with container glass. These sorts of glass go in the garbage bin.

Old clothes => old clothes container
e.g. textiles and shoes
Tip: Please pack the old clothes in a plastic bag before throw away.

Scrap metal => recycling yard
e.g. pipes, chicken wire, bicycle frames, chains, rims
Tip: The local scrap dealers will gladly take large quantities off your Hands.

Bulky waste => special collection (collection on demand)
e.g. furniture, carpets, household effects, toys

Green cuttings => special collection or recycling yard
e.g. tree loppings and hedge trimmings
Tip:
Leave foliage and hedge trimmings in the garden over winter. Many small animals will be glad for the shelter.

Electrical/electronic scrap => special collection or recycling yard
e.g. washing machines and dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators, small electrical devices
Tip:
When buying new equipment, give high-quality, long-living and low-repair equipment the Preference.

Hazardous materials => hazardous materials collection point
e.g. household chemicals, energy saving lamps, plant protection agents
Tip:
Avoid using household and garden products containing hazardous materials. There is practically always an environmentally friendly product.
